The Hammond Education Foundation is an organization of dedicated volunteers who are committed to Supporting Extraordinary Learning Experiences to Help Students Succeed. As a philanthropic partner to the School City of Hammond, the HEF promotes inspired, creative teaching.

- Donating to the Hammond Education Foundation is the best way to support curriculum-based projects at school.
- The HEF has funded more than $1 Million in classroom grants and scholarships since its inception in 1983.
- Nearly 1000 classroom projects have been funded by HEF grants, giving thousands of students innovative, creative experiences that make learning fun.
- Since 1990 the HEF has awarded more than $186,000 in scholarships to high school seniors to assist in their post-secondary education expenses.
- School City of Hammond employees donate more than $14,000 to the Foundation annually.
The Hammond Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that relies on contributions from individuals, organizations and businesses to support the grants, scholarships, endowment, other projects and operations. The HEF is not part of the School City of Hammond and does not receive any tax dollars for any aspect of its operation.
